Picks » Denver Broncos at New England Patriots ATS Winners 2012 NFL Playoffs
Week 2 of the NFL playoffs and the excitement continues to build. This matchup is the biggest one on the board nationally as everyone has an opinion on Tebow and the Broncos, plus you either love or hate the Patriots. Oddsmakers have not been confused they have made New England Patriots -14 favorites and set the total of 50.
Denver Broncos don’t always fit into the new sexy passing NFL but they have learned to get the job done, sometimes in an ugly fashion. Tim Tebow has taken the world by storm and with a very impressive win against the vaunted Steelers expect him to play with even more confidence. Just a few weeks ago Denver lost at home to these same Patriots but the Broncos have explained it away to just a ton of turnovers. Maybe we should not focus on the Bronco’s offense as its not the strength of this team, in their wins this defense has been the ones that have kept teams to under 20 points. Special Teams for Denver is also a strength for their team and they might need a long return to pull off another upset.
New England Patriots are once again coming off another bye in the first round of the playoffs. Experience in the playoffs is very important and no one has more than this Patriots offense led by future hall of famer Tom Brady. With one of the worst defenses in the league this Patriots offense has just taking to outscoring teams. Two great tight ends and Wes Welker has covered up their biggest offensive weakness, a lack of a deep threat. Last year in the playoffs the lack of a deep threat got them beat and it will be interesting if Denver’s defense can exploit that weakness.

Over 50: you would think that Denver would slow this game down but New Enlgand defense is so bad they will move the ball very easily either running or passing. New England will continue to just outscore teams and think they put up nearly 40 here and easily put us over this Total. New Enlgand survies and advances but the defense still is terrible.
