New York Giants at New England Patriots Superbowl XLVI ATS Picks Written by admin amdin@picksAndParlays.net

Superbowl XLVI is already being called the rematch, the 2007 Superbowl XLII featured these same two teams and saw the Giants upset the undefeated Patriots. Now we once again see the Giants turnaround a rough season and try to once again upset the favored New England Patriots. Indianapolis will be hopping with both Giants and Patriots fans invading from the East Coast. Oddsmakers see this as a very competitive game but also high scoring (NE -3.5 with Total of 54)

The Giants have come a long way over the last month, since going 7-7 they rolled off 5 straight wins including the last two road playoff games. Coach Tom Coughlin only has 14 players returning from Superbowl Championship team but the schemes still remain very similar. Defensivley the Giants are built around the best pass rush in the game with 4 Elite Defensive Ends. Giants secondary is not ask to do much but they have above average coverage skills. The offense of the Giants try and have a balanced attack but most of the year the run game has let them down. Eli Manning has taken his game to the next level and in many experts eyes he is now an elite quarterback. The passing game is helped with possibly the best trio of recievers, Cruz Manningham and Nicks. Specail teams for New York giants has been solid all season long.

New England finds them back at the Superbowl for the 5th time in just over a decade. Coach Belachik has looked like a man on a mission all season long, maybe still remembering the loss in 2007 from this same Giants franchise. Patriots have found way to cover up for a very flawed team this year. Defensively the Patriots rank near the bottom of all the defensive passing categories, and only a great offense has allowed them to still win many game this season. The run defense has really picked it up shutting down two great run teams the last two games. Most see New England as a great offense but we still think they have a major weakness with a weak running game and no speed recievers for deep threats. Still Tom Brady has figured a way to cover up for these weaknesses most of the year and with two weeks to prepare its hard to imagine Belachik won't have a gerat gameplan to win his 5th Superbowl.

Records

New York Giants   12-7 (11-7-1 ATS, 9-9-1 O/U)

New England Patiots    15-3  (10-8 ATS, 12-6 O/U)

ATS Trends

-Under is 5-2 L7 Superbowls

-Giants are 3-0 ATS head to head

-Underdog is 6-4 ATS L10 Superbowls

-Giants are 7-1 ATS L8 games

-Patriots are 4-4 ATS L8 games

New England -3.5: think we see much the same type of game from earlier this year. Only thing is this time its Brady leading New Enland to a late TD to win 24-20. Patriots defense will be exposed for a few big plays but Belachik will have some surprises for the Gaints offensive line that will save this terrible Patriots secondary. Great year in the NFL finishes with one of the best Superbowls as Patriots win Superbowl XLVI.
