Who does not love the annual March Madness ritual of filling out NCAA Tournament Brackets. This year lets give you some winning tips so that you have an even better chance of winning your office pools bracket contest. Lets break down the top five tips that will help all of you pick winning brackets i this years NCAA Tournament.

1. Fill out the brackets from inside out: Start with the team you feel strongest about the Championship Winner. Then work your way out to the 1st round games. Most bracket contest are weighted and to win its almost a must to pick the winner and at least 3 of the Final Four teams.
2. Don't try to beat the #1 seeds in first two rounds: Don't be foolish, very few times does a #1 seed not make at least the sweet 16.
3. Find big upsets in the number 5-12 matchup: doesn't make a whole lot of sense sometimes when you look at the teams being upset but nearly every year two of the #5 seeds go down in first round to the #12 seed. (Check our First Round Records by seed since 1985)
4. Final Four Picks- don't take all the #1 seeds: Only once has all the #1 seeds made the Final Four so trust history. Don't get carried away though picking big upsets to the Final Four as 93% of the Final Four teams have been made up the top four seeds. Find the balance for that is usually two #1 seeds and then a mixture of #2 and #3 seeds.
5. Find one true Underdog to the Sweet 16: Everyone loves the Underdog and in March Madness its magnified even more. Don't go crazy picking a ton of double digits seeds to the sweet 16. Instead take one double digit seed thru to the Sweet 16. Recent years we have seen Davidson, Northern Iowa, etc that have made great runs.
Not much else in sports holds our attention for four straight days like the first week of the NCAA Tournament. Adding to that excitement is all the Bracket Contest or Office Pools that we all enter.
